Albany - The South Georgia Wildcats band will march down the streets of Atlanta in the nation's largest Independence Day parade. The Marching Wildcats were chosen to perform in the 45th annual Salute 2 America Parade.

The band is the only marching band in the Arena 2 Football League and is known for its dancing and popular music selections. "People are really excited, the community is excited about it. They think it's a great thing that we're representing south Georgia," said Band Director Christopher Pike.

More than 350,000 people watch the parade on television and nearly 250,000 spectators come out to the parade. The parade airs on WSB-TV Monday July 4th at 1:00PM.
