Albany -- Albany Police are searching for the man who robbed an East Albany bank just before 1:00 Wednesday afternoon.
Police and FBI agents blocked off the SunTrust Bank on South Mock Road minutes after the robbery. Investigators say a man gave the teller a note money. He did not show a gun, but the note implied he had one.
Albany Police Lt. Tracey Barnes said "we have a description of a black male, tall, slender. Wearing like a white jacket and a black hat."
South Georgia SunTrust President Mike Marz was outside the bank within minutes, to help his employees. Marz said "This is a very difficult situation to deal with if you are a person in the bank. Someone threatening your life. It's difficult to deal with that."
The robber ran from the bank, but no one saw if he ran away or had a car waiting.
There were about 5 customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was injured. Investigators are not saying if the bank robber took any money before he fled.
