Moultrie - A South Georgia man is behind bars, charged with trying to drown his own son.

26-year old John Wesley Jordan is charged with aggravated assault and cruelty to children in the first degree. Moultrie police say Jordan hit his four year old son repeatedly, grabbed him by the neck and choked him, then dunked the boy's face and body underwater in a bathtub.

Two people in Moultrie are charged with abusing a disabled elderly man.

Deputies they found Juan Fuentes lying on the floor in pain. Fuentes was only partially clothed and was covered in human excrement and flies. Fuentes' daughter, 25-year old Susi Carcini and her husband Abraham were each charged with cruelty to the elderly.
