Cordele - Wayne " Tree" Rollins, who you may recognize from his 18 year career in the NBA, opened the restaurant Monday morning. He hopes people will come by the restaurant, not only because of his very high profile (he's more than seven feet tall), but also because of the good food.
He says, "Our vision was to come in and do a restaurant away from the interstate traffic and provide country food, and we searched around for two years until we came across this location."
The Farmer's Market restaurant will be open 7 AM to 7 PM for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and will soon be serving buffet style.
