Albany - Kristi Roberts took her niece to the beach last year, but says she wouldn't allow her to get into the water if they went now. Kristi says her friends are also keeping closer watch on their children.

She says, "I had some friends down at Destin beach this weekend and as soon as they heard about the shark attack and they came along the beach telling everybody to get out of the water, it scared them. They didn't go back in the entire time they were there."

If you do decide to vacation at the beach this summer, you may want to pick a location where a lifeguard is present.
