June 23, 2005 Albany------The Southern Rural Black Women's initiative are holding it's 2nd annual fashion and talent show event. It will be at the Ritz Cultural Center in Albany this Saturday, June 25 at 6 PM and all is invited to attend.

        Erma Wilburn, who organizes the event says, "It is like a Black family reunion that everybody can enjoy." Wilburn also says, "Juneteeth is the celebration of the Negro's emancipation from slavery that happens every year to commemorate that freedom before July 4th." There will be music, fashion and lots of fun for all ages. It is five dollars for adults and for children 17 to 12 it will be three dollars.

    The event is free for children under 12 years old. The Juneteeth celebration is held all over in different cities all over the country. There will be kids, full figured, and high stepper fashion models.
