Albany- We could all use some help paying to fill up our gas tanks. The American Red Cross hopes that need will help them collect needed blood donations.

You can give at a blood drive Saturday at the Albany Mall. Demand for blood increases during the summer months at a time when donations decline. The Red Cross is offering a big incentive.

"That's to help bring people out and give them another reason to come out and donate. We have a drawing now for a 15 hundred dollar gas card. That is good through July 31," says Joy Davis, Albany Donor Center Charge Nurse.

If you donate Saturday at the Mall, you'll be registered for a chance to win one of two $1,500 gift cards. The Red Cross is encouraging donors with "O" positive and negative blood types because it is more frequently used.
