Valdosta - The Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce is looking for the world's best employees.

The chamber is accepting entries for this year's World Class Employee competition. Any chamber business can nominate one employee in one of four categories. Those are manufacturing, service-professional, health and retail-hospitality.

Four winners will be announced in September and each will receive $1,000. "We're really looking for employees who've shown themselves as models in the workplace and demonstrate good work ethics like attendance, attitude, and devotion to their job," said John Sparks.

The last day to nominate an employee is August 26th. Applications can be picked up at the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce or downloaded from their web site.
