Cairo-- The driver of a log truck is recovering from injuries he received when his rig turned over Tuesday morning.

It happened around 9:00 on highway 84 eastbound in Grady County. Deputies say the man lost control of the truck when he tried to take a right turn too fast. Firefighters had to cut away the tractor-trailer's steering wheel to get the driver out. "The driver was trapped inside, possible broken arm, a few cuts and contusions. He was taken to Grady General. He should be ok," says Deputy Michael Cooke.

Another truck was called to clean dozens of spilled logs off the roadway, and to right the tractor-trailer that turned over. Deputies say the truck is totaled.
