Camilla - Today, Camilla voters are deciding whether to allow the sale of liquor by the drink. There was a steady stream of voters at the City Hall precinct this morning. Nearly 250 voters cast ballots during early voting last week. Already, more people have voted than cast ballots in 2002 on the same issue.
Elections Superintendent Mark Shiver hopes even more people will come out and vote. He says, "It's a liberty. It's a right that you have, to come and vote, no matter how you're voting, yes, no, on this particular referendum, it's important. That's the only way that you really have a voice in the community."
Polls are open at City Hall and Jester Recreation Center until 7 PM. We'll have results of the vote tonight on WALB NEWS 10 at eleven.
