Albany- Nobody's more important to the Red Cross than regular blood donors.

Donating platelets paid off for Lauren Williamson Wednesday. She's one of two regular donors in Georgia who won trips to a resort in Miami. Williamson comes in once a month to donate platelets and has been a regular donor since high school.

"We could use blood or you could need blood at any point in time if you have a tragedy, if you have a car wreck, if something happens, you need an operation," Williamson said.

Williamson and Eric Harlan of Savannah each won two airline tickets and a weekend at The Palms South Beach.
