Another bank robbery in Valdosta

Valdosta---  Around 11:30 Monday morning, a man walked into the First State Bank, told the teller he had a gun, and demanded money. He ran out with the cash and witnesses say he took off in a tan colored Cutlass.

Capt. Brian Childress of the  Valdosta Police said, "We're looking for a black male in his late 20's, wearing a grey shirt and grey pants with curly black hair."

This is the third robbery in Valdosta in the last month. Police do not think this robbery is connected to the other two. Investigators do think the other two bank robberies in Valdosta and one in Tifton last month are connected.

A man robbed the Fist Community Bank in Tifton on May 16th. Valdosta police think he's the same man that robbed the Park Avenue Bank on May 18th, and Citizens Community Bank last Thursday. In all three robberies, he gave the teller a note demanding money.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 50's, about 5 foot 10 inches tall with gray hair.

Investigators think he may be driving a silver Toyota or Nissan sedan with a Florida license plate. If you have any information on any of these robberies, call the Valdosta Police Department Tip Line at 229-293-3091.
