LEESBURG, Ga. (AP) _ Jason Heyward hit a three-run double in the sixth inning Wednesday to lift Henry County to an 16-to-14 victory over Lee County to win the Class Quad-A state championship game.
The teams split a doublheader Tuesday. In the decisive game three, the Trojans (32-5) scored five runs in the sixth to take a 14-to-8 lead. But Heyward's double with the bases loaded gave the Warhawks (24-10) the victory.
Lee County committed seven errors, including four in the third -- along with three wild pitches by pitcher Jack Posey.
