Hilton construction on schedule

June 8, 2004

Albany- Work is wrapping up on several major construction projects in downtown Albany, including the Hilton Garden Inn.

The hotel and conference center is already taking wedding requests. It will offer 122 guest rooms and more conference space than anywhere else in Albany. Hotel management says everything is on schedule.

"We have guest room carpet being installed right now. We have wall vinyl going in, the sheet rock is being finished up on the front so we're on target for our August ninth opening," said Todd Cleveland, Hilton Garden Inn GM.

The hotel will offer a 24 hour business center, a full service restaurant, and a flat screen TV in every room. The furniture is expected to arrive next month.
