Dawson-- A Dawson city councilman convicted of three felony charges this past March has died. Fifty-four-year old Joseph Breedlove died Tuesday of unknown causes at the VA hospital in Dublin.
The Dawson City Council will move to declare Breedlove's seat on the council vacant at the next regularly scheduled meeting. A special election to fill the seat will be held in September.
Breedlove pistol whipped a teenager and shot out the tires on the young man's vehicle in January of last year.
A jury convicted a Crisp County man on two counts of child molestation Friday. The jury came back with a guilty verdict for Hermenegildo Virgil Friday.
