Ashburn- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited Bio-Plus Inc. following the death of 28 year old Jonathan Escobar.

OSHA says he and another employee were trying to shovel the top layer of peanut hulls in a bin when he fell in. Escobar was engulfed and died of asphyxiation.

Bio-Plus has been issued more than 20 citations ranging from safety violations to failing to report the fatality within 8 hours. The company has 15 working days to contest the citations and more than $40,000 in penalties.
