Albany -- An Albany woman is killed, and five others are injured when a car is hit by a semi-truck.
This is what is left of the 1998 Plymouth Voyager after it was hit by the semi about 5:45 Tuesday morning at the intersection of Clark Avenue and Cordele Road.
46-year-old Maria Moreno of Albany was a passenger in that van and died from injuries in the crash.
39-year-old Martina Barradas of Nashville was driving the van. Investigators say Barradas turned left into the path of the truck, causing the crash, but no charges have been filed.
30-year-old Juana Cossio of Florida and her 11-year-old daughter were also passengers in the van. Juana Cossio is listed in good condition at a local hospital.
The truck driver, 38-year-old Jeffrey Zipperer of Valdosta, was treated at the hospital and released.
Investigators say everyone in the crash was wearing seat belts.
