Douglas - Coffee High baseball coach Frank Vashaw is leaving the Trojans dugout to become the head coach at North Gwinnett.
Vashaw, who was a candidate for the Parkview job last year, says the move is a family decision since he and his wife both have family in the metro Atlanta area.
Frank Vashaw took Coffee High to the state playoffs in each of his five seasons including two trips to the quarterfinals.
Before that, Vashaw won a state title at Cook High in 2000.
In 13 seasons at both schools, Frank Vashaw won 271 games and went to the state playoffs 11 times.
