Last minute Memorial Day tips

May 27, 2005

Albany-- If you're planning for a safe and fun Memorial Day week-end than you want to make sure you follow all of the rules.

If you are cooking meat on the grill, it is important to stick a thermometer in your meat.  Your meat has to be 165º before you serve it.

If you plan on hitting the lake this weekend, according to Georgia State Law, children under 10 must wear a life jacket at all times.  Also, if you get caught boating under the influence, you can get a fine up to $1,000.

Lastly, if you plan on catching your Memorial Day dinner at the lake, make sure you have a fishing permit.
