Scottsboro, Al.- Top ranked Darton didn't just win the NJCAA Division II golf title.
The Cavaliers rewrote the record book.
Darton was the only squad in the 15 team field to break par in Friday's final round as the Cavaliers go wire to wire to win by 37 shots.
The Cavaliers posted a seven-under par 281, the team shot under-par in all four rounds, and their final total of 1124 is new NJCAA Division II record- beating the previous mark by 21 shots.
Freshman Brent Witcher fired a 71 today and won the medalist honors with a 12-under par total of 276 which is also another NJCAA Division II record.
All six Darton players made the all-tournament team.
Brent Witcher, Michael Gordy, Jason Flowers and Brandon Anthony were first team All-Americans for finishing in the top ten in the individual scoring.
Ryan Wilson earned second team honors and Ryan Parker garners honorable mention honors.
