Bainbridge- It was started by an unruly prisoner who was being housed in a holding cell while waiting for court.
District Attorney Joe Mulholland says the man got bored, and ripped an emergency sprinkler head out of the cell's ceiling. The entire second floor of the courthouse flooded, seeping through to the level below.
The building's new computer system is offline, and possibly destroyed. Mulholland says that the preliminary damage assessment is roughly half-a-million dollars.
More than two dozen inmates are cleaning up a major flood at the Decatur County Courthouse right now.
