Americus - Rufus Green worked in the Americus office. On Monday, he pleaded guilty to 25 counts of forgery, three counts of making false statements, and one count of violation of oath of office.
Prosecutors say Green forged arrest warrants and crime lab reports. He resigned when the criminal investigation began in August.
Green will be sentenced in about three weeks. He could get up to ten years per forgery conviction and up to five years each on false statements and violation of oath of office.
