Military recruitment down

Albany-- High school students and new graduates are usually the biggest target for military recruiters.

It's a time when young adults are trying to make decisions about their future. But many students don't see a future for themselves in the military.

New graduate Bobby Key says a big scare for some kids may be the war effort in Iraq but for him that's not the case. "The war, I'm not worried about it. It's a conflict. It has to be resolved so it's nothing that's going to be scary so somebody's got to do it," says Key.

Key is enlisted in the Marines and will leave for basic training in Paris Island on May 31st. He'll receive $24,000 in college funds after completion of 4 years.

A representative from the Marine Recruitment office says recruitment in Georgia is about normal.
