Albany-- Flint River Habitat for Humanity held its first Backyard Bids fundraising auction Friday night at Wynfield Plantation.

Guests bid on everything from original artwork to hunting packages and limited edition shotguns. All proceeds go to the homebuilding ministry.

"Every penny will go into construction of a home and we're real excited about that. It's going to go directly into building efforts here so that's the most important thing," says Executive Director Stacey Driggins.

The goal was to raise about $25,000 for Flint River Habitat for Humanity. They'll begin construction on their next home in October.
