Albany- Golfers at the Flint River Golf Course Friday helped clothe some Albany children.
This was the fourth annual Law Enforcement Memorial Week Golf Tournament. Albany Police officers chose to use the money raised from the tournament to buy clothes for the children of a needy Albany family.
"As a law enforcement officer, many times people look at the other side of us and this is the good side where we want to give back to the community," said Sgt. Edward Heath.
Players had two chances to win a car during the tournament. But they had to shoot a hole in one on holes 8 or 13. Unfortunately, no one's golf game was that good. APD expects to raise about $2,500.
