Putney- Putney Park got a face-lift thanks to the Dougherty County board of commissioners and Merck.
The community landmark hadn't had any upgrades in years. Now residents say they finally have a park they can be proud of.
"I tell you we came a long way, a long way. We just thank everybody who had a part in this. It's just absolutely beautiful, and I know we are going to enjoy it," says Louise Terry.
Not only did Merck help fund improvements to the park, but 12 employees volunteered to do the work.
