Mother, son charged in dog mauling

Tift County- Rico Tovar and his mother Maria Socorro Tovar are charged with reckless conduct for not having their dogs properly confined.

They owned three of the four dogs that attacked seven year old Ramiro Valdez earlier this month.

All of the dogs except for Rico Tovar's Doberman have been euthanized. The Tift County dangerous dog board will decide his fate on June 1st.

The Tovars have been released on bond.
