Albany  -- Two Albany men plead guilty to rape crimes, just before their trials were to begin Wednesday  morning.

33 year old Demetrius Clyde will spend 14 in prison for beating and raping a woman in east Albany two years ago. He was also banished from Dougherty County, and will have to register as a sex offender.

In another courtroom, 19 year old John Curry pleaded guilty to aggravated assault to commit rape charges. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Prosecutors say Curry attacked an 18 year old mentally challenged woman at his home on West Society in 2002.

Curry also agreed to help Prosecutors in a drug case he is charged in.
