Sylvester-- A Worth County elementary school teacher is in jail, charged with child molestation.

Georgiann Harrell is the third-grade teacher at Holley Elementary School who cut herself with a piece of glass in front of students. She has been under investigation by the Sylvester Police Department and the GBI since that May 4th incident.

Sylvester Police Chief Tony Strenth says Harrell is charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation. The charges are not related to the cutting incident, but police uncovered the molestation allegation during that investigation.

More charges are pending. Harrell turned herself in to the Worth County Sheriff's Department this afternoon.
