Dougherty County --  A Dougherty County couple says a school bus crashed into their car and then sped away.

Misty Smith says the front end of the car was lifted off the ground by the collision. The Pontiac Grand Am has a broken head light, cracked bumper, and scrapped hood.

Smith said they were in a turn lane on South Slappey Monday when the school bus drifted over and hit them. Smith said "This bus driver apparently is still driving around, after hitting a vehicle and leaving like that. And what if there had been kids on there? "

Witnesses say the bus sped away before they could get the bus number.

The school transportation director says he is inspecting the buses for damage, to see which driver was involved.
