The Lee County Sheriff's Department is now working with the Albany Crime stoppers. The Lee County Sheriff's Department asked to join the Albany Crime-stoppers program. The Sheriff's Department believes it will be a helpful tool in closing some cases.
Tifton-- Police are asking for your help in identifying a man who they say robbed a bank. Around 3:00 Monday afternoon an unknown white male came into the First Community Bank West Side location, walked to the teller, demanded cash, and then walked out the door.
Witnesses say he is in his late forties to early fifties, wearing dark work type pants, and a blue zippered sweat shirt with a white V-neck T-shirt. He is also described as being approximately 5' 8" to 5' 10" and weighing 185 to 210 pounds.
Tifton Police have already processed the counter where the robbery took place and say that at this time they are still looking for the suspect.
Tifton Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact them directly at 229-382-3132.
