While Wildcats on the field, thief in locker room

Albany- The Albany Civic Center is working to make sure South Georgia Wildcats players aren't victims of theft again.

During Saturday night's game, someone went into the locker room and stole more than $800 from players' wallets plus some personal items. Civic Center officials plan to tighten security.

Coach Chris Siegfried wishes the players could get their money back.

"Our main focus is that it's not going to happen again and it's a shame that someone in our community is willing to take advantage of a professional team or any organization," he said.

The players make $250 a week. Some of them lost a full week's pay.
