Child molestation trial gets underway

The trial of an Albany man, charged with ten counts of child molestation, began Monday morning.

Tommie Clemmons could face more than 140 years in prison if convicted. Prosecutors say Clemmons sexually abused his nephews who were five and eight years old when the molestation began.

Clemmons sister, Tara, pleaded guilty to molestation charges and is expected to testify against her brother.Tara Clemmons was given a 40-year sentence.

Jury selection began Monday morning. Opening statements are expected to begin Tuesday.
