Tifton- 2-1-1 of South Central Georgia is a placement service for people who want to volunteer. It database is linked to more than 500 organizations.

2-1-1 is also a free information and referral service for Georgians seeking help with food, shelter, and programs for children's and seniors.

"If you need help call 2-1-1, and we'll direct you or provide you with the resources that are available in your community to help you with that need," says director Lisa Hamilton.

The number is toll free and can be accessed anywhere in the state. The Tifton center service 18 counties in the region.
