Albany - The SIAC champion Albany State softball team does not have to look far to find future players.
Coach Robert Skinner picking up the battery from the Monroe High softball team.
Portia Fowler and Ta'Shelya Bynum both signing with the Lady Rams.
Fowler was a pitcher for the Lady Tornadoes and the Region 1-AAA player of the year according to coach John Williams.
Bynum, also an all-region selection, started her softball career at shortstop but moved to catcher because of her rocket arm.
Ta'Shelya Bynum is also an outstanding track star who has qualified for three events in this week's Georgia High School Association state track meet.
