Valdosta - The Valdosta State golf team sits in eighth place after round two of the NCAA Division II South Super Regional at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta.
The Blazers though have a shot at winning the regional which would qualify them for the NCAA Division II golf tournament.
But for that to happen, Valdosta State is going to need a big final round since they are 25 shots behind leader Rollins College.
Spencer Provow leads the Blazers at three-over par through the second round.
Josh Tompkins is at six-over, Matt Wiley- who had the low round of the day for the Blazers on Tuesday- is seven-over par, Kevin Dutkowsky is at eight over and Brian Hurtak is 12-over par.
Catching Rollins will not be easy since they are one-under par as a team after 36 holes.
The final round is Wednesday.
While the regional winner automatically qualifies for the NCAA Division II tournament, the top three scores from all the regionals will also earn a tournament berth.
