Thomasville- Two neighbors are credited with saving an elderly woman from a burning house in Thomasville.

As they walked past the house, they noticed the fire and didn't hesitate to take action. Firefighters say the neighbors kicked-in a locked chain-link fence at 809 Fletcher Street early Saturday morning. They went inside the house and rescued the 84 year old homeowner. The victim's daughter says she couldn't be more grateful for everyone who helped. "I thank them very, very much. Everybody took time, from the Captain down to the very last one, the EMTs, they stepped in, the police department, it was wonderful," says Teresa Clark.

Everyone made it out of the 160 year old house unharmed. Firefighters say it was such a big fire every crew in Thomasville responded.
