Mitchell County- A Baconton man is killed after loosing control of his truck in Mitchell County.
Around 1:20 Sunday morning, 43 year old Benjamin Silas, lost control of his pick up along Old Georgia Three a little more than a mile south of Bowles Road.
According to the Georgia state patrol, his truck traveled nearly 200 feet before it struck a tree. The truck then traveled another 50 feet before it finally stopped. Silas was not wearing a seat belt.
