Albany- Several lawmakers became wine stewards tonight at a fundraiser for Theater Albany in Riverfront Park.

Hundreds of South Georgians turned out to enjoy good food and wine and a perfomance of the play "Beehive."

"We started working on this about a year ago and decided that Beehive was such a popular play or had been at the theater that we would bring it down here and put it on as a dinner theater and it's just been a huge success," says chairperson Peggy Meyer von Bremen.

Beehive features songs from the 60's. The guest wine stewards included Representative Freddie Powell Sims and Lt. Governor Mark Taylor.
