Albany - Deerfield-Windsor's Jon Jon Taylor is just one win away from her third straight three-peat at the GISA state track meet.
Taylor won the AAA triple jump and long jump for a third straight year and will try to do the same in Saturday's 100 meter dash at the Hugh Mills Stadium.
Taylor's third straight win in the triple jump was very easy with her winning distance of 35'2" was two feet further than her closest competitor.
The long jump though took some work where Taylor's fourth attempt of 17'3" earned her the title for the third year in a row by two inches.
The Lady Knights were in second place in AAA team standings.
In boys action, Deerfield-Windsor's Grant Walker won his second pole vault title in the last three years when he cleared 13'.
In AA, Tiftarea's Kade Rogers won the girls long jump and Bryan Grebel of Southwest Georgia Academy won the boys long jump and Fullington's Alex Speight won the boys discus.
The Westwood Lady Wildcats lead the team competition in Class A. Magan Swilley won the shot put, Jennifer McKee took first in the triple jump and Madison Lamar won the pole vault for the Westwood girls.
Terrell Academy is in the hunt thanks to Courtney Spillman's first place finish in the high jump and Julie Davis won the discus.
Westwood's Chase Hembree won the Class A boys pole vault.
The GISA state meet will conclude with the track finals on Saturday.
