Hogencamp stays

Albany- One of the most visible city of Albany employees, isn't leaving city government after all. Kevin Hogencamp was promoted to assistant city manager.

Recently, he announced he would leave his job as assistant to the city manager and city spokesman to accept a job at Phoebe Putney.

He tells WALB news he decided to stay because he feels the city is taking great steps to continue its growth. He'll make an annual salary of $73, 200.

A new city manager is expected to be named before July first.
