Valdosta - An Interstate crash sent two people to the hospital Friday.

A little before noon, a tractor-trailer and a white Ford pickup were exiting I-75 in Lake Park.

The tractor-trailer came to a stop and the pickup ran into the back of it. The impact caused the pickup's motor to break loose and knocked the bumper off the trailer

"The occupants of the pickup truck were injured and transported to the hospital," said Trooper Rick Dunn of the Georgia State Patrol.

The Georgia State Patrol also stated the driver of the pickup truck, 57-year-old Hector Rodriguez is in critical condition at South Georgia Medical Center. His passenger, Rima Rodriguez, is in good condition, and the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
