Albany - Sherwood Christian guard Ross Knight has made school history again.
The sharp shooting guard knocked his signature down on the bottom line Thursday afternoon to a basketball scholarship at Georgia Southwestern in Americus.
A GISA all-state pick the last two years, Ross Knight became Sherwood Christian's all-time leading scorer this season.
He finished his high school career with 1387 points for the Eagles and coaches believe Knight is the first boys basketball player at Sherwood Christian to sign a college scholarship.
Ross Knight said "All I need is my shot and my chance and I feel as though Georgia Southwestern is giving me that and I won't let them down. It is my personal point of view that I won't let them down and that I promise I will do my very best to help the program any way possible."
Ross Knight will be on the first Georgia Southwestern basketball team to play in the Hurricanes new brand new arena this fall.
