Valdosta - Valdosta State University is turning students into business leaders through hands-on training.

The college's first student-operated business opened on campus Wednesday. Business Bites is a concession plaza that's open for lunch daily.

It's operated by the Students in Free Enterprise group. They came up with a business and marketing plan and even did research to see what kind of business VSU students would like to see on campus. "It's open for students and faculty, our target market is the north campus, there's about 1550 students and faculty up here and that's our largest market, but we'd like to open up to anybody that comes in," said Aaron Gee, Manager.

Business Bites plans to open for breakfast soon.

All proceeds from the business go to Students In Free Enterprise.
