Tigerville, SC--Moultrie's Jack Croyle battled the weather, his competition, and the course for a one-under par 70 during the final round of The Michelob Ultra Classic over the 6529 yard, par 71 Cherokee Valley Golf Club to win his first ever Hooters Tour title.
Croyle had a four day total of 272 (12-under par) for the classic to become the fifth first time winner of the year. “I worked extremely hard this off season on my game, I got a new coach and things seem to be getting better for me,” said the former Georgia State golfer.
“I have more control over my golf ball now and I am a better putter which helped me in the brutal conditions this week.” “I was amazed my hands didn’t shake at all today,” said Croyle. “It made it easier on 18 knowing I had a two stroke lead and ten-footer for birdie.”
Jesse Hutchins (Orlando, FL) and Travis Johnson (Long Beach, CA) finished tied for 2 nd place three strokes behind Croyle. Local pro Daniel Brunson (Greenville, SC) fired a final round two-under 69 and finished tied for 25 th .
