
Valdosta--Valdosta State has been selected as one of the eight teams from the South Region to play in a Division II Super Regional May 2-4 at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta.
The Blazers will be joined by Rollins, West Florida, Lynn, Delta State, Florida Southern, Barry and Nova Southeastern for the 54-hole tournament. A practice round will be played Sunday (May 1).
The South Central Region's eight teams are Central Oklahoma, Cameron, St. Edward's (TX), Northeastern (OK) State, Southwestern Oklahoma State, St. Mary's (TX), Drury (MO) and East Central (OK).
The winner of each regional and the three teams with the next best scores (regardless of which region they represent) will qualify for the 72-hole national championship May 17-20 at Savannah Harbor Club. Kinderlou Forest is a 7289-yard, par 72 layout designed by Davis Love III.
The five players representing Valdosta State are Spencer Provow , Kevin Dutkowsky , Josh Tompkins , Brian Hurtak and Matt Wiley.
