Cecil- A Florida man is dead and five others were injured in a late night accident on Interstate 75 in Cook County.

Fifty three-year-old Robert Lange of Middleburg, Florida couldn't stop his tractor trailer before it smashed into the rear of another tractor trailer in the southbound lanes of I-75 near Cecil just before 10:30 Friday night.

The cab on Lange's truck burst into flames. The accident caused a chain reaction forcing the second tractor trailer and four other cars to collide. Five people had minor injuries, but no one was taken to the hospital.

Lange died at the scene. This is the second deadly accident in that construction zone along Interstate 75 in the last two weeks.
