Albany-- Federal prosecutors have re indicted City Commissioner Henry Mathis. He's now charged with extorting money from three Albany business people.

The Ward Two commissioner was initially indicted in December after prosecutors said Mathis helped man's business obtain a liquor license, then demanded money in return. Mathis was set to go on trial earlier this month, but it was postponed when prosecutors said new victim had come forward.

Friday, a federal grand jury handed down a new indictment. Mathis is now charged with extorting money from a woman held a trash pickup contract with the city, and a man who owns a trucking company.

Mathis was suspended, but had to be reinstated when prosecutors asked for a delay.
