Students test negative for tuberculosis

Cordele- Tuesday, 60 tuberculosis skin tests were conducted on students and teachers at Crisp County Middle School that were in the same classroom with a student that may have the disease.

Thursday, health officials said 100% of them came back negative. The student in question has not tested positive, and school officials say results of a culture could take weeks. That student is receiving homebound services.

School administrators say it doesn't appear that they will have to test the remainder of the student body.
