Valdosta - South Georgians are getting the chance to learn more about the law.
The "People's Law School" program kicks off in Valdosta this weekend. The 10 week program gives citizens the opportunity to learn about all different aspects of the law, from bankruptcy to wills and estates, workers compensation and social security rights. "It's important for them to understand their civil justice system and to understand more about how it operates, what their rights and responsibilities are, and what privileges it gives them," said Nick Bajalia, Organizer.
The classes will be held every Saturday from 10:00 until noon at J.L. Newbern Middle School in Valdosta.
There is no charge and instruction will even be offered in Spanish.
The "People's Law School" is sponsored by the Civil Justice Foundation the City of Valdosta and Lowndes County.
